The Pre-Primary School, Air Force School Thane was established on 24 October 1988 by the Indian Air Force Educational and Cultural Society which is the governing body of all Air Force Schools across India. This English medium school consists of Pre-Kindergarten, Lower-KG as well as Upper-KG grades.We, at the Air Force School Thane, take pride in completing 35 years of educating educating children from all over India with light of knowledge. The primary aim of this premiere institution is to ensure that its mission to reach and teach children is fulfilled with each staff member displaying the highest level of integrity and working together towards bringing out the excellence in each child.
Presently running with classes  Pre-KG, Pre-KG, LKG & UKG and equipping 174 children with strong academic foundation and outstanding life skills in nurturing environment. The tireless and determined efforts of the , committee, devotion  & dedication of staff and total

The school was judged the best school in South Western Air Command in AY 1998-99, AY 2001-02 & AY 2002-03 and Runner Up in AY 2004-05 & AY 2016-17. All the classrooms are constructed with different themes on the walls & Ceiling. Every classroom is equipped with Air Conditioners, Smart & interactive boards.
